Saturday 21 March 2009 will be an important day for Versity Tal-Qroqq as this will be the team’s first match against a foreign opponent. In fact, a friendly match has been organized against Saint Antony’s FC.

Saint Antony’s FC is a football team based in Oxford, England and represents one of the colleges of Oxford University. We were first contacted by a representative from the St. Antony through the guestbook on our website last week requesting the opportunity to play a match against a Maltese opposition to celebrate their recent league victory. Although it was a bit short notice, our team secretary Daniel Camilleri managed to find a venue, referees and to arrange for the availability of our players. The friendly match will be played next Saturday 21 March 2009 at 5pm at San Gwann Ground.
